Top 5 Reasons I Love Our New Home

Our New Playroom

1.  Hosting playdates is so enjoyable with all the space for the kids to play inside and the great swing set in the backyard, not to mention all the room I have in the kitchen to prepare lunches.

2.  I can wake up before the rest of the family and actually get things done without walking on creaking hardwood floors, waking everyone else up.

3.  The sounds of laughter and little footsteps running all around the house while I make dinner is so much better than being worried that one of the girls is going to run into something and get hurt.

4.  I have my OWN sink in our master bathroom.

5.  We all just seem so much more relaxed and comfortable.  (Not to mention, Geoff's grumblings about us living in a doll house have stopped!)

Congrats Sam!

Congrats to my cousin, Samantha who finished up her high school career and gave us all reason to come down to Florida and celebrate!  She will be moving on to Florida State University in the fall.

Before Sam's party, the Hanson family took a little day trip to St. Augustine to check out the oldest city in America.  I have always wanted to go on a carriage ride and because it was my birthday, Geoff granted my wish.  Here we are with the horse (Barney) and carriage before our trip around town.  Half way through the trip Lauren was lucky enough to be invited up front and she spent the rest of the ride helping to steer the horse.

Here are a few photos from Sam's party.  Annie just LOVED wearing the huge sunglasses.  She and Lauren have always been interested in sunglasses so of course the minute Annie found the large ones she was very intrigued.

Aunt Deb is always so gracious to our little girls so of course she had a Dora phone and guitar, along with princess toys waiting for us.  Lauren loved rocking out with the guitar.

Here's our funny family shot....only would have been sillier if Jonboy would have been able to make the trip.

Annie just loves her beads and Lauren already told me she would like a princess party for her 4th birthday.

A photo of all the cousins and spouses.  Cousin Sam is in the middle wearing the beautiful blue and white dress.

Thanks again to the entire Williams family for throwing such an amazing graduation party!  Spending an entire weekend with family, along with all the party festivities was a great way to spend my birthday weekend.

Disney!

What a wonderful family vacation we had last week! Thanks to my cousin Sam for graduating from high school and my Aunt Deb for planning such a spectacular party! Before the party we decided to spend some time in Orlando visiting Geoff's family friend's The Hillarys and Mickey and friends.

(Sorry for the crazy captions. I can't figure out how to center my comments in this new blogger interface. Any suggestions from regular bloggers?) Ryan, Mark, Bridget and Geoff at Aunt Glo's gorgeous home. Catching up with everyone and watching the girls play with Ryan's little ones, Jack and Chloe was a great way to start the trip.
Disney here we come! Geoff and the girls headed to the pool.

Aunt Stephie with a miniature Minnie Mouse.
Breakfast in bed before our big day at Disney.

Classic family shot with Cinderella's castle in the background.

The whole crew with Mickey and Minnie.
This might be my favorite photo of Aunt Stephie with Lauren and Annie yet.

Discovering Our New House

After a very interesting closing (I guess they all are though, huh?) we couldn't wait to show the new place to the girls. Before we even opened the front door, the girls discovered and were so excited for the swing set. If you look closely you can see even Annie has her own swing on the far right. Lauren was so excited about her new pink room. The carpet in the basement is so soft. What a great big sister! Annie in the new family room. The girls love the new staircase. First lunch on the back patio. In all his spare time, Geoff loves vacuuming. I even got in on the cleaning. Only a little bit though, I promise!

The Move...

The girls sure have enjoyed all the new "toys" around our houses as we have been in the middle of moving. Annie figured this box would be a great place to hang out. Funny, one of the words she picked up in the past few weeks is box. Not sure how many one year olds know "box," but she does. Lauren did a great job helping pack up all the toys. As we have continued unpacked boxes at our new place, she has been a HUGE help too. She loved helping me organize the drawer with all the bottles for the new baby. Great new place to color! WOW...here comes the pink moving truck. This was especially exciting for our little Lauren who loves Pinkalicious. Packing up and leaving one home... Arriving at our new place... Pretty good ad for EZ Movers and PODS huh?

Mother's Day

What a great trip the girls and I had back to Michigan for Mother's Day and my future cousin's baby shower.
A photo of four generations - Mammie, Lauren, Great Gram, Annie, and Mommy
Annie loved squeezing the mud with her toes in the field.
Annie decided to eat her toes. Don't worry, this was before she stuck them in the mud.
Lauren was so excited to spend some time at Papa's farm.
Planting pumpkin seeds with Mammie and Papa.
A pregnant Mommy - 27 weeks in this photo, currently 29 weeks.
Papa and Lauren rode around the farm on both tractors. Annie wasn't so sure about the noise and would only sit on the tractor with Mommy. What a fabulous weekend we had in Michigan visiting with so many family members. A huge thanks to Great Gram and Papa Bruce for letting us invade their house, Aunt Sarah and Cousin Shelby for watching the girls while I was at the shower, Silly Aunt Debbie, Cousin Jessie and Cousin Molly for playing with the girls, and Mammie for loading and unloading our luggage multiple times! We had a great time playing with Grandpa and Grandma Hanson before we headed back home too! The only thing that would have made our trip more enjoyable was if Daddy would have been able to come. We sure did miss him!
